TIBA-TIBA is a Bali-based design studio creating original Indonesian furniture, lighting, homewares and interior objects for modern tropical living. Roughly translating to “suddenly” or “out of the blue”, TIBA-TIBA reflects our approach to design — unexpected, bold, and intentionally different.

Every TIBA-TIBA piece is either designed in-house or developed through close collaboration with talented Indonesian designers, artists and craftspeople, bringing together original ideas with exceptional local craftsmanship. We believe the best furniture begins with original ideas, refined through thoughtful design and realised by skilled Indonesian artisans. Unlike the long lead times that often accompany made-to-order furniture, we strive to keep our collections in stock, allowing most pieces to be delivered within days rather than months.

At TIBA-TIBA, we design with real living in mind. Chairs should be comfortable and properly proportioned to the human body. Counter stools should actually fit beneath a kitchen island. Materials should celebrate the incredible resources and craftsmanship of Indonesia — bamboo, teak, local marble, and rattan. Most importantly, we believe good design should be accessible without breaking the bank.

Beyond the product catalogue, we also take on selected architecture and interior design projects — the same thinking applied at a larger scale. Thoughtful design, local materials, and contemporary tropical living tie it all together.
