TIBA-TIBA is a Bali-based design studio producing modern, tropically inspired furniture and homewares with a playful, sometimes surprising, yet refined sensibility. Roughly translating to “suddenly” or “out of the blue”, TIBA-TIBA reflects our approach to design — unexpected, bold, and intentionally different.

All TIBA-TIBA pieces are designed in-house or developed in collaboration with talented Indonesian designers, artists, and craftspeople. We strive to maintain a running stock of all items to avoid long production lead times and the uncertainty that often accompanies made-to-order furniture.

At TIBA-TIBA, we design with real living in mind. Chairs should be comfortable and properly proportioned to the human body. Counter stools should actually fit beneath a kitchen island. Materials should celebrate the incredible resources and craftsmanship of Indonesia — bamboo, teak, local marble, and rattan. Most importantly, we believe good design should be accessible without breaking the bank.

Alongside our ongoing architecture and interior projects, TIBA-TIBA serves as an evolving platform for furniture, objects, and collaborations rooted in modern tropical living.
